Job description

Reporting to the Business Solution Manager, IT Service Management within IT Services the ServiceNow Developer will be responsible for enhancing the McGill ServiceNow platform to address the university’s need for an IT hardware asset lifecycle management process and solution..________________________

Responsibilities

  • System Management :  Oversee the overall health and performance of the Salesforce platform, ensuring optimal functionality and user satisfaction.
  • Customization and Development :  Customize and develop Salesforce using Lightning Web Components, Apex, and other tools to meet business needs.
  • Business Requirements :  Gather business requirements, understand business processes, and assess needs to provide effective solutions.
  • Data Integrity and Security :  Ensure data integrity, security, and governance, performing regular audits and implementing best practices.
  • Implementation Projects :  Lead or participate in Salesforce implementation projects, ensuring successful deployment and adoption.
  • Reporting and Dashboards :  Create and maintain Salesforce reports and dashboards to provide actionable insights.
  • Training and Knowledge Transfer :  Coach and train other administrators, facilitating knowledge transfer and ensuring team proficiency.

Qualifications

  • 6+ years of demonstrated experience as a Salesforce Administrator.
  • Self-motivated, autonomous and ability to work well with multiple teams in a cross functional setting.
  • Demonstrated ability to work on multiple initiatives concurrently and to manage deadlines.
  • Result and client oriented.
  • Demonstrated effective communication, writing, planning and coordination skills.
  • Experience in the implementation, configuration and deployment of ServiceNow instances, including
  • oKnowledge and implementation of ServiceNow Scripting

    oKnowledge of the ServiceNow ITSM Pro suite

    oKnowledge of Hardware (HAM) and Software Asset management (SAM) products

    oKnowledge of the Common Service Data Model (CSDM)

    oIntegration to third party data sources such as Microsoft Intune, System Center Configuration Manager,

  • The following certifications are considered assets :
  • oServiceNow Certified Systems Administrator

    oServiceNow Certified Application Developer

    oServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist : ITSM, HAM, SAM

  • English spoken and written.
