About Qualicare Durham Region


Qualicare Durham Region is a nurse-led, CARF-accredited home care organization expanding its clinical services under a new Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB) contract. We provide professional, recovery-focused care to injured workers who require in-home services across Durham and Central East Ontario.



Role Summary


We are seeking Registered Nurses to provide in-home nursing care to WSIB clients, supporting recovery, safety, and independence following workplace injury or illness.


This role includes short-duration nursing visits (medication support, clinical monitoring, wound care, education). Extended or continuous care assignments (3–24h) are designated as employee-only roles and offered under separate employment terms.



Key Responsibilities


  • Deliver in-home nursing care in accordance with care plans
  • Monitor client condition and escalate changes appropriately
  • Provide education to clients and caregivers
  • Document care accurately and in compliance with WSIB standards
  • Communicate with care coordinators and clinical leadership


Qualifications


  • RN in good standing with the CNO
  • Minimum 3 years clinical experience (community preferred)
  • Strong assessment and communication skills
  • Reliable transportation


Compensation


  • $45–$50/hour (contract, visit-based work)
  • $38–$42/hour (employee)
