Your opportunity :
The Rotman Office of Recruitment, Admissions and BusinessDevelopment (RABD) recruits and admits talented professionals who aim to push their limits, expand their creativity and develop their leadership potential via one of the School’s nine graduate management programs. The RABD team will achieve this goal using industry-standard best practices in strategic enrolment management (SEM).
Within the competitive market of business schools, it is imperative that strategy be informed by meaningful data-driven insights to inform decision making about resources and programming, advancing the Rotman brand’s position within the global business school landscape.
Reporting to the Associate Director, Admission Operations, the incumbent actively supports the shaping of Rotman’s strategic and operational initiatives by : identifying key trends and reporting these to departments and divisions, measuring determinants of success and recommending related initiatives, developing models and presenting to decision- makers, briefing Directors, Academic Directors and Managing Directors on research findings, and responds to strategic questions.
Working closely with various departments, the Data Analyst is responsible for data analysis, data management, research and reporting of important metrics that drive key decisions. This includes data used to inform recruitment and admissions planning, digital marketing strategies. The Data Analyst is a key contributor to developing reporting systems and dashboards that give operational staff and leadership visibility to these essential business insights.
Your responsibilities will include :
- Analyzing complex data that requires great precision and attention to many details
- Running queries to gather data, cleaning and preparing data to reduce redundancy
- Developing and maintaining a dashboard for quick access to key performance indicators
- Developing and maintaining information management methods to optimize the use of data
- Probing for information to determine requirements for ad hoc data requests
- Analyzing and writing program scripts to extract, reformat and analyze data
- Conducting detailed data analysis to inform management decision making
- Preparing draft statistical reports and summaries from data collected
- Analyzing statistical information to inform enrollment projections and planning
- Preparing complex data modelling to support enrollment strategies
- Collating and organizing data for various reports
