The Accounts Receivable (AR) Analyst is responsible for managing and driving any collection activities while maintaining accurate records of all customer interactions and collections and is responsible for supporting internal and external audits related to accounts receivable. This person will develop a cross‑functional partnership with Sales, Customer Experience, Shipping, and Finance. The Accounts Receivable Analyst will use analytical skills and business acumen, positive business influence skills, exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail to drive growth and best practice.
Functional
- Maintain accurate records of all customer interactions and collection activities
- Reconcile customer accounts and process account adjustments or credit memos as needed
- Connect with customers via email or on the phone to collect payments
- Collaborate with Sales and Customer Service teams to resolve invoice issues
- Reconcile credit card statements and organize corresponding receipts
- Record applicable bank transactions to SAGE
- Review, monitor and withdraw PayPal transactions and record
- Generate and send accurate customer invoices in a timely manner
- Monitor aging reports and follow up with customers on outstanding accounts
- Post customer payments (cheques, wire transfers, credit card payments, etc.) to the accounting system
- Investigate and resolve payment discrepancies, short payments, and customer disputes
- Prepare AR reports for management and assist with month‑end closing activities
- Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting procedures
- Support internal and external audits related to AR
- Additional project work and responsibilities as required
- Investigate and propose continuous improvements to daily tasks and activities
- Leverage the use of AI to streamline processes and controls
- Other related responsibilities as required
