Lauremont School, formerly TMS, invites expressions of interest, nominations, and applications from outstanding educators and leaders for the position of Head of Elementary. The appointment will begin on July 1st, 2025 or as mutually agreed. This is an outstanding opportunity to work with a supportive Head and Deputy Head of School and a collaborative senior team.

Reporting to the Deputy Head of School, the Head of Elementary will collaborate closely with the Head and other members of the school Leadership Team to support and advance the School’s Mission, Vision, and curricular and co-curricular programs. The Head of Elementary carries out a critical strategic role within the School and helps to facilitate its smooth daily operations, while also supporting its reputation within the community and beyond. A key desired attribute is to be a conduit between the Deputy Head of School / Leadership Team and the Elementary faculty and staff and other community stakeholders.

The new Head of Elementary will be an experienced educational leader with a proven track record of accomplishment and the ability to command the trust and respect of all Lauremont stakeholders. Strong academic credentials, a visionary outlook aligned with the School’s Mission and Vision, exceptional leadership support for an unparalleled team, outstanding communication skills and creativity in further enhancing an outstanding educational program are all qualities required in the new Head. They will have an excellent rapport with students of all ages and backgrounds, and a deep commitment to providing the necessary resources to sustain an outstanding Elementary program.

The Head of Elementary will assume the role as the School continues a significant change trajectory across many areas of school life, including programs, facility development, enrollment growth, and a new Strategic Direction. A strong track record of managing and leading change effectively will be a definite asset. As an individual with highly developed inter-personal skills and a sense of humour, the successful candidate will demonstrate a track record of commitment to inclusion and the well-being of faculty, staff, and students. Experience in forming and strengthening curricular, program and cultural connections and links from early childhood and the Elementary to the Middle / High School is valued as the School seeks to deepen the bonds between the two campuses and pedagogies.
