Position DescriptionSt. Andrew’s seeks a growing follower of Jesus, a skilled leader in musical praise, a competent singer and an instrumentalist (guitar and / or piano preferred).
She or he will work closely with the Pastor to craft worship gatherings suited to in-person and online congregants and seekers of a broad range of ages.
The position will include, but not be limited to : Leading worship at our regular Sunday morning worship gatherings, as well as special gatherings such as Good Friday, Christmas Eve, weddings, funerals, and other events as agreed upon;
Recruiting, coaching and encouraging volunteers to assist in worship leadership, musically and vocally;Rehearsing weekly (beyond Sunday morning) with volunteers of varying abilities andEncouraging musical leadership among the youth.
Create a worship environment and choose music that honours our church's ministry's multi-cultural and multi-generational nature.
Work with other ministry areas at St. Andrew’s to provide worship-related support, resources, and coaching.Develop an annual worship ministry budget and be able to work within that budget.
Oversee the maintenance of all musical instruments owned by the church.Oversee the church’s worship tech ministry. QUALIFICATIONS Demonstrably gifted in leadership, communications, and interpersonal engagement.
Evidence of a caring heart for people and a passion for souls. Relates well multi-culturally.Spiritually mature, a team player, an accountable servant-leader with a teachable spirit.
Ability to play pianoAbility to lead vocalists, including children and youth, and other instrumentsWorking knowledge of sound systems
