Job description

Our client, specializing in instrumentation-control, telemetry, SCADA, ...solutions including deployments of sensors, flow meters, PLCs, industrial routers, etc., is looking for an Instrumentation/Control Technologist.

  • Install and commission measurement/control instruments on site and in the workshop;
  • Occasional installations in environments such as municipal infrastructure (ex. pumping stations, wastewater or stormwater networks), requiring compliance with appropriate hygiene protocols;
  • Program and configure equipment according to specifications;
  • Provide technical support to users and integrators inlcuding diagnostics and problem resolution;
  • Assemble, wire, test, and troubleshoot control panels;
  • Prepare electrical diagrams and plans.

Requirements:

  • DEC or AEC in Industrial Electronics, Industrial Maintenance or related field;
  • 2+ years of experience in instrumentation, control, telemetry;
  • Experience with onsite installations and troubleshooting;
  • Experience in one of the following is an asset: installation of flow meters or other control instruments in drinking water and wastewater OR IT and communication networks (Ethernet, RF, cellular) OR industrial protocols (Fieldbus, Modbus, Ethernet IP);
  • 30% - 40% travel in the greater Montreal area and occasional travel to northern Quebec;
  • Access to vehicle, valid driver's license (mileage reimbursed);
  • Asset: knowledge of electrical design software;
  • French.
