Journeyman Electrician

Are you a Journeyman Electrician living in the Bow Valley who is ready for something different?

We’re looking for an electrician who wants to develop their skills in fire alarm and life safety systems while working primarily in the Canmore, Banff and Bow Valley area.

You do not need to be a fire alarm expert.

If you have your Alberta Journeyman certification, strong electrical fundamentals and some exposure to fire alarm or life safety work, we'd like to hear from you. For the right electrician, training and mentorship will be provided.

What’s offered:

• $35–$45/hour, based on experience

What You'll Do

Your work will include a mix of service, installation, maintenance and troubleshooting:

• Install and service fire alarm and life safety systems
• Troubleshoot electrical and fire alarm system issues
• Perform repairs, upgrades and system modifications
• Assist with inspections, testing and verification
• Read electrical drawings, schematics and specifications
• Work with customers, contractors and other trades on site
• Complete service and project documentation
• Ensure work meets electrical codes, safety requirements and company standards

What We're Looking For

Required:

• Alberta Journeyman Electrician certification
• Valid driver's licence
• Strong electrical troubleshooting skills
• Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
• Reliable, professional and safety-minded
• Willingness to learn fire alarm and life safety systems
• Living in the Bow Valley area or prepared to relocate to the area

Nice to Have — But Not Required:

• Fire alarm system experience
• Commercial service experience
• Experience with fire protection or life safety systems
• Experience testing or troubleshooting fire alarm systems

Don't have extensive fire alarm experience? Apply anyway.

We're more interested in finding a strong electrician who wants to learn the industry than someone who checks every box.

This isn't intended to be a daily Calgary-to-Canmore commute.

Our work is concentrated in Canmore, Banff and throughout the Bow Valley, and we're looking for someone who wants to work and build their career in the area.
