Description

Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled technician to operate, maintain, and troubleshoot our air separation plant, including associated tanks, controls, and truck fill systems. Responsibilities include managing plant startups and shutdowns, performing corrective and preventive maintenance, and ensuring product quality and quantity while complying with environmental regulations. You will interpret technical documents, calibrate instruments, troubleshoot control systems, and oversee safe maintenance procedures. You will work both independently and as part of a team to maintain plant reliability and safety.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Startup, operate, and maintain the air separation plant and all associated tanks, controls, and truck fill systems. Troubleshoot plant shutdowns and perform corrective maintenance to allow plant restarts.

  • Coordinate scheduling of planned maintenance and perform preventative maintenance on plant components.

  • Operate units to continuously supply products at the appropriate quantities and qualities safely and economically, complying with all environmental regulations and daily customer requirements.

  • Monitor process performance and make appropriate adjustments to remedy deviations and align to the specified norm.

  • Read and interpret P&ID's, Electrical Schematics, One Line Diagrams, Equipment Manuals, and company procedures.

  • Perform calibration of analyzers, field instrumentation, and can troubleshoot control system problems.

  • Perform lock-out tag-out, correctly, and safely permit maintenance work, and oversee contractors, as necessary.

  • Safely troubleshoot, repair, and maintain all rotating equipment and associated mechanical systems including compressors, pumps, fans, and valves.

  • Prepare and execute projects to improve facility availability and reliability.

  • Coordinate with other technicians and work in a team setting and individually.

  • Always work safely and responsibly.

  • Manage maintenance deadlines and PM intervals.

  • Communicate with cross-functional groups and other business departments.

  • Maintain a combination of office work and fieldwork.

  • Support our facilities' operation to ensure they are maintained in a safe, reliable, and environmentally friendly manner.

  • On-call availability and in rotation required

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent education.

  • Associate in applied sciences Degree or equivalent apprenticeship preferred.

  • Must have a strong interest in and experience with electrical and mechanical systems.

  • 2 or more years' Production Operations experience.

  • Proficient with a variety of I/E hand tools meters, instrument calibration equipment etc.

  • Working knowledge of computers and typical computer programs Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).

  • Able to manage confined space entry, climb ladders and steps, lift up to 50 lbs., and work at heights.
