Purpose of the Job : Responsible for installing new equipment, replacing parts, monitoring electrical controls, maintaining and troubleshooting plant equipment. The work is manual and requires reading and interpreting electrical diagrams, plans and electrical code prescriptions, while applying pharmaceutical and sterile quality standards in a safety‑oriented environment.

Responsibilities :

Perform electrical maintenance, renovation, repair and modification work related to the plant.

Identify and solve electrical problems on production equipment and plant services.

Maintain, repair, install and test cutting tools, transformers, distribution panels, electric motors, industrial batteries and control systems.

Perform periodic maintenance on electrical components of production equipment and plant services.

Test electronic and electric components to verify continuity, current, voltage and resistance.

Approve hours spent on electrical issues by instrumentation technologists in their apprentice logbooks (C license).

Purchase replacement parts when required.

Read and understand electrical drawings, plans and electrical code items.

Create or modify electrical plans for equipment or plant services (coolers, boilers, ventilation, etc.).

Install, verify, replace and repair electrical cables, outlets, switch boxes, conduits, lighting devices and other components.

Ensure timely completion of work while maintaining established quality standards.

Contribute to general maintenance of plant installations.

Support project managers on electrical projects.

Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

External Interfaces :

External interfaces with various service providers and suppliers.

Internal Interfaces :

Internal relationships primarily with all customer service functions of the plant.

Education & Experience :

College degree or industrial electronics course, or high school diploma with specialization in construction electricity or equivalent.

License C and owner-builder license (A2).

5 to 10 years in a manufacturing environment.

Skills Required :

Ability to complete documents according to GMP standards.

French (written and spoken); knowledge of English is an asset.

Good communication skills and teamwork.

Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.

Innovative and proactive attitude.
