National Oilwell Varco (NOV) – Nisku Manufacturing – Currently have opening for you to join our dynamic team as an CNC Machinist. NOV is committed to the growth of this facility and continue to invest to significantly expand our CNC machining capacity and capability, with the addition of the latest technology CNC machines, equipped with twin spindles, dual tooling stations, high pressure / chilled coolants and IMM inspection.

To safely and effectively operate this equipment we are looking for the very best associates to join us who; accept a challenge, and enjoy machining technology.

Primary Responsibilities :

• Read blueprints, diagrams, measurement tools and schematic drawings to determine work procedures.
• Perform precise measuring to ensure components are machined to the specific tolerances and surface finishes.
• Set up and operate CNC machines to maximize the use of materials and equipment.
• Operate and handle materials and tools in a safe manner.
• Report any environmental and health & safety issues that arise.
• Assist with the training of other employees.
• Ensure that the work area is kept clean and appropriate safety equipment is worn at all times.
• Perform Preventative maintenance on equipment
• Other duties assigned
