Job descriptionMRCP, full GMC registration and licence to practise. Evidence of higher specialist training leading to CCT in Cardiology or eligibility for CESR. Candidates within 6 months of confirmed entry at interview time are acceptable. Interest in and extensive training in general cardiology; UK‑trained applicants should have completed specialist training. Non‑UK applicants must demonstrate equivalent training. Dual accreditation in GIM is preferred but not essential.
Cardiology Locum Consultant – NHS Ayrshire & Arran
We are seeking an experienced consultant cardiologist to cover a 1‑year maternity leave at Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, Glasgow. This fixed‑term post will be based at QEUH.
Shift pattern : 40 hours per week over 7 days, with on‑call commitment.
Key responsibilities include :
- Providing specialist cardiology care, including inpatient and weekend rota (CCU and general ward roles).
- Contributing to transthoracic and transoesophageal echo lists at QEUH.
- Participating in cardiology rota including out‑of‑hours on‑call.
Qualifications :
Applicants should be able to contribute to the team, provide high‑quality echocardiographic input and support inpatient cardiology activities.
