POSITION SUMMARY:
Our client recognizes the value that their Warehouse team brings to their organization. A Delivery Driver is responsible for transporting goods or products from a distribution center, warehouse, or retail location to customers' designated destinations. They play a crucial role in ensuring timely and accurate deliveries, providing excellent customer service, and representing the company in a professional manner. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who thrive in challenging and rapidly changing work settings.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Delivery Operations: Safely and efficiently operate a delivery vehicle, such as a van or truck, to transport goods to customers' locations. Follow assigned routes or use GPS navigation to ensure on-time deliveries.
  • Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment, managing multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Package Handling: Load, unload, and secure packages or items in the delivery vehicle to prevent damage during transit. Check and verify the accuracy of delivery contents against delivery documents.
  • Timely Deliveries: Adhere to delivery schedules and deadlines to ensure customers receive their orders within the specified timeframe. Communicate with customer service or manager.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries by being courteous, friendly, and professional. Answer any customer inquiries and address concerns or complaints in a polite and helpful manner.
  • Documentation and Records: Maintain accurate delivery records, including delivery confirmation signatures, receipts, and any other required documentation. Complete necessary paperwork or electronic forms associated with deliveries.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Regularly inspect and maintain the delivery vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition. Report any mechanical issues or maintenance needs to the appropriate department.
  • Safety Compliance: Adhere to all traffic laws, regulations, and company safety policies while operating the delivery vehicle. Practice safe driving techniques and maintain a clean driving record. Report any safety hazards or potential risks to supervisors immediately.
  • Route Optimization: Efficiently plan and organize delivery routes to maximize productivity and minimize travel time. Optimize routes to reduce fuel consumption and transportation costs.
  • Communication: Maintain effective communication with the customer service team and manager. Provide updates on delivery status and report any issues or challenges encountered during deliveries including, but not limited to, any delays or issues that may impact delivery times.
  • Product Knowledge: Develop a basic understanding of the products being delivered to answer customer questions and handle product-related inquiries.
  • Testing: Competent in the understanding of and ability to perform DOP and FIT testing, obtain a basic knowledge of the variety of equipment to be tested, and adhering to all operating procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned including but not limited to warehouse responsibilities.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Must be Fluent in French
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience as a delivery driver and warehousing or in a related driving role is preferred.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Proficient in basic computer skills
  • Familiarity with local roads, routes, and traffic patterns.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy packages, if required.
  • Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and safety procedures.
  • Attention to detail and a focus on accuracy.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Ability to work in a warehouse environment.
  • Walking, bending, reaching, stretching, climbing ladders.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. with or without assistance.
  • Stand on your feet for long periods.

Suivre les itinéraires assignés ou utiliser la navigation GPS pour assurer des livraisons à temps.
  • Capacité avérée à s'épanouir dans un environnement de travail au rythme soutenu, en gérant plusieurs tâches et délais simultanément.
  • Manutention des colis : Charger, décharger et sécuriser les colis ou articles dans le véhicule de livraison pour éviter les dommages pendant le transit. Vérifier l'exactitude du contenu des livraisons par rapport aux documents de livraison.
  • Livraisons ponctuelles : Respecter les horaires et les délais de livraison pour s'assurer que les clients reçoivent leurs commandes dans le délai imparti. Communiquer avec le service à la clientèle ou le gestionnaire.
  • Service à la clientèle : Fournir un service à la clientèle exceptionnel lors des livraisons en étant courtois, aimable et professionnel. Répondre aux questions des clients et traiter les préoccupations ou les plaintes de manière polie et serviable.
  • Documentation et dossiers : Tenir des registres de livraison précis, y compris les signatures de confirmation de livraison, les reçus et toute autre documentation requise. Remplir les formulaires papier ou électroniques nécessaires associés aux livraisons.
  • Entretien du véhicule : Inspecter et entretenir régulièrement le véhicule de livraison pour s'assurer qu'il est en bon état de fonctionnement. Signaler tout problème mécanique ou besoin d'entretien au département approprié.
  • Conformité en matière de sécurité : Respecter toutes les lois sur la circulation, les réglementations et les politiques de sécurité de l'entreprise lors de la conduite du véhicule de livraison. Pratiquer des techniques de conduite sécuritaire et maintenir un dossier de conduite propre. Signaler immédiatement tout danger ou risque potentiel aux superviseurs.
  • Optimisation des itinéraires : Planifier et organiser efficacement les itinéraires de livraison pour maximiser la productivité et minimiser le temps de déplacement. Optimiser les itinéraires pour réduire la consommation de carburant et les coûts de transport.
  • Communication : Maintenir une communication efficace avec l'équipe du service à la clientèle et le gestionnaire. Fournir des mises à jour sur le statut des livraisons et signaler tout problème ou défi rencontré lors des livraisons, y compris, sans s'y limiter, tout retard ou problème pouvant avoir un impact sur les délais de livraison.
  • Connaissance des produits : Développer une compréhension de base des produits livrés pour répondre aux questions des clients et traiter les demandes liées aux produits.
  • Tests : Compétent dans la compréhension et la capacité d'effectuer les tests DOP et FIT, acquérir une connaissance de base de la variété des équipements à tester et respecter toutes les procédures opérationnelles.

QUALIFICATIONS
