About the Role The Recruitment Coordinator is an enthusiastic, detail-oriented professional with a passion for talent acquisition and candidate experience.

This is a 6-month term position , offering an exciting opportunity to contribute to attracting, engaging, and hiring top talent across the organization.

As a member of the Human Resources team, you will support full-cycle recruitment activities while ensuring a seamless and positive experience for both candidates and hiring managers.

You thrive in a fast-paced environment, enjoy building relationships, and are highly organized with strong attention to detail.

This is an in-office role based in our Dartmouth, Nova Scotia location.

Hours are Monday to Friday, from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.

  • Responsibilities Support full-cycle recruitment including job postings, sourcing, screening, interview coordination, and offer administration Partner with hiring managers to understand hiring needs and develop effective recruitment strategies including reach outs through Indeed and LinkedIn Screen resumes and conduct initial candidate outreach and pre-screens Coordinate and schedule interviews, ensuring a smooth and professional candidate experience Maintain accurate and up-to-date candidate records in the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and HRIS Assist in drafting job descriptions and job postings aligned with business needs Conduct reference checks and support background check processes Prepare and issue employment offers and related documentation Support onboarding activities to ensure a positive new hire experience Track recruitment metrics and provide reporting as needed Ensure recruitment practices align with employment legislation and company policies Assist with employer branding initiatives and recruitment campaigns Qualifications A degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or a combination of a degree and a Human Resources Graduate Certificate, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience coordinating high-volume recruitment is an asset Familiarity with Applicant Tracking Systems and HRIS platforms (ADP WorkforceNow preferred) Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) Bilingualism (English and French) is considered an asset Ability to work onsite Monday to Friday Knowledge & Skills Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a candidate-first mindset Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment Proactive, resourceful, and solutions-oriented approach Strong sense of confidentiality and professionalism Team-oriented with the ability to build effective working relationships Additional Information Avenir Energy is committed to accommodating applicants with disabilities throughout the hiring process.
