Position Title : Early Childhood Educator
Location : Woodward’s YMCA Child Care (111 W Hastings St, Vancouver, BC V6B 1G8)
Term : Temporary, Full-Time
Hours : 35 hours per week
Shift : Monday - Friday rotating shifts between the hours of 7 : 15am to 6 : 00pm.
Start Date : As soon as possible
End Date : April 1, 2026
Salary : $30.82 per hour for Basic ECE License (Includes $6 per hour as per the Provincial Government Wage Enhancement Initiative). Wage will increase to $31.56 per hour effective January 2026.

Nature & Scope
Early childhood educators (ECE, ECE-IT / SN) and assistants at the YMCA ensure a safe and engaging environment for all children. By adhering to the YMCA Playing to Learn curriculum, they design, and lead activities tailored to the interests and developmental stages of the children in their care. These educators also cultivate and maintain strong, positive relationships with parents, fellow educators, and community partners to deliver high-quality childcare within the communities we serve.
