Job description
Adecco is currently hiring a full-time experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to join a high-performing team within a dynamic industrial environment. This role focuses on improving asset reliability, supporting capital projects, and ensuring the safe and efficient operation of high-voltage electrical systems.
You will play a key role in optimizing performance, troubleshooting complex issues, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives across operations.
  • Location: Mildred Lake (Fort McMurray)
  • Shift: Monday to Friday | 8 hours per day | 40 hours per week
  • Job type: Temporary | Full-time | until December 31, 2026 with a possible extension to next year

Responsibilities:
  • Improve reliability of E&I systems and eliminate equipment "bad actors"
  • Conduct root cause analysis and troubleshoot equipment issues
  • Perform condition monitoring (oil analysis, partial discharge, IR scans, etc.)
  • Support projects, commissioning, and system upgrades
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations
  • Participate in risk assessments, including HAZOP studies
  • Develop technical documents (drawings, specifications, datasheets)
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
  • 5+ years in reliability/maintenance engineering (E&I, high voltage)
  • Experience with MOC processes, field instrumentation, and power systems
  • Knowledge of CSA standards, DCS/PLC systems
  • Eligible for or registered as a P.Eng. (APEGA)
  • Oil & gas or heavy industry experience
  • SAP PM (CMMS) knowledge
  • Experience with substations, transformers, and EHT systems
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Mu st be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
