In this role, you will work closely with operational leaders, business stakeholders, and project teams to coordinate day-to-day project execution activities across transportation, operations, process improvement, and business optimization initiatives. This position is ideal for a highly organized and execution-oriented individual looking to grow their experience within project delivery, continuous improvement, and operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and help drive project activities from initiation through implementation and closeout.
  • Maintain project plans, timelines, action logs, status trackers, and project documentation across multiple initiatives.
  • Track project deliverables, milestones, dependencies, risks, and action items to support successful execution.
  • Follow up with stakeholders, operational teams, and project owners to ensure tasks and commitments are completed on time.
  • Support the execution of operational, continuous improvement, process optimization, and transformation initiatives.
  • Lead smaller operational and process improvement initiatives under the guidance of department leadership.
  • Prepare project updates, reports, meeting notes, presentations, and status summaries for leadership teams and stakeholders.
  • Coordinate meetings, working sessions, workshops, and project-related communications.
  • Support issue tracking, escalation management, and implementation follow-up activities.
  • Work with internal teams, operational stakeholders, vendors, and external partners to support project execution requirements.
  • Assist with process documentation, workflow mapping, operational reporting, and implementation tracking activities where required.
  • Support post-implementation reviews, lessons learned activities, and project closeout reporting.
  • Maintain a high level of organization, accountability, and follow-through across all assigned initiatives.
  • Participate in additional projects, operational initiatives, and departmental support activities as assigned.

Key Requirements

  • Post-secondary education in Business, Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering, Technology, or a related field preferred.
  • Project management coursework, CAPM, PMP coursework, Lean, or related certifications considered an asset.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain structure, follow-up discipline, and project accountability.
  • Comfortable working in fast-paced operational environments with changing priorities and timelines.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work cross-functionally across multiple departments and levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving, analytical, and critical-thinking capabilities.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a collaborative team environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and project management tools/software.
  • Experience within transportation, logistics, supply chain, or operational environments considered an asset.
  • Positive attitude, willingness to learn, and strong interest in project delivery, operations, and continuous improvement.
