The Opportunity
The Design Engineer is expected to complete their projects on time, on budget and with minimum supervision. You will see a broad spectrum of engineering work including design updates to our product lines, lean initiatives, research & development and troubleshooting production issues. This role is very cross-functional and involves working closely with the Purchasing, Production, and Sales departments.
The Team
The Design Engineer will report directly to the Engineering Manager.
Responsibilities
- Develop and refine product designs using CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar).
- Create detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and documentation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, quality, and R&D to ensure design feasibility and performance.
- Conduct design reviews and make recommendations for improvements.
- Analyze design problems and provide effective solutions.
- Ensure designs comply with industry standards, safety regulations, and company policies.
- Support prototyping, testing, and validation of new designs.
- Maintain accurate records of design iterations and changes.
- Other tasks and projects as assigned by supervisor
- Follow AGI’s Code of Business Ethics and related compliance policies
