We are seeking a Market Insight Specialist focused on Construction, Forestry, and Material Handling. Operating across Canada’s coast-to-coast sales network, this role plays a critical part in turning standardized data into actionable insights that support daily business operations. Responsibilities include creating, maintaining, and delivering timely reporting packages, as well as responding to ad hoc requests that guide decision-making across sales, operations, and leadership teams. Leveraging internal datasets, the Market Insight Specialist provides clear, accurate, and meaningful analysis that drives sales performance and operational efficiency.
Duties and Responsibilities
The role of Market Insight Specialist will include, but not be limited to:
- Develop, maintain, and distribute recurring sales and market share reporting for Marketing, Leadership and Operational teams.
- Analyze sales metrics, market share trends, and competitive positioning to identify opportunities and risks.
- Interpret standardized data models to deliver meaningful insights.
- Provide accurate, insightful ad-hoc Reporting, analytics, forecasting, and data support related to the business of the day.
- Work to understand business processes to understand business needs and tailor reporting solutions accordingly.
- Responsible for developing an understanding of existing sales and inventory-related reporting and data sources
- Visualize and translate data to varied audiences in PowerPoint, Excel, and other visualization tools.
- Work closely with the Manager of Standard Reporting to ensure data integrity and consistency across all reporting outputs.
- Continuously seeking opportunities to streamline reporting processes and enhance efficiency

Required Skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Power Query, Tableau, Power BI, and Data modelling
- Curiosity and willingness to learn new tools and processes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.

Required Experience
- Degree in Business Administration, Analytics, Data Analytics, or related equivalent relevant experience.
- Interest and aptitude in sales activities and market data.
- Industry experience in heavy equipment, construction, agriculture, and transportation-related fields is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Power Query, Tableau, Power BI, and Data modelling
