At Kootenay Boundary Regional Hospital, every patient interaction matters. We're currently seeking a Casual Patient Registration Clerk to join our team in Trail, BC. If you're organized, customer service-oriented, and passionate about supporting your community, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.
Hours of work are rotating days/nights; 07:00 to 15:00, 08:00 to 16:00, 08:30 to 16:30, 07:30 to 19:30, 19:30 to 07:30

Work hours range from 0 to 37.5 per week, with shifts available on short notice or pre-scheduled to cover leaves. What will you work on?
This position interviews patients, relatives and/or friends to obtain information required to complete the Patient Registration documentation and performs other related clerical duties. Identifies available bed booking options as requested. Provides information and directions to visitors and handles telephone inquiries such as patient room numbers and visiting hours. Responds to alarm panels by making announcements and/or telephone calls in accordance with the established procedures.
What should your application include?
• A 5-minute typing test (45+ NWPM) from a recognized institution, completed within the past 48 months (non-supervised tests not accepted). for testing details.
• A Medical Terminology Certificate
• Your Resume outlining two year’s recent related experience, Or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience;
• A Cover Letter stating your availability to start in a new position and on-call, casual work (i.e. days of the week).
