Take it to the next level with a Co-op position with the City of Kelowna!
We are looking for a detail-oriented team player to join our Water Quality team. This position will assist the Wastewater Laboratory, Source Control Technician in sampling of wastewater as well as assisting our Water Conservation program with targeted public outreach events. This is an excellent opportunity to get experience in the wastewater industry from a water quality point of view.
Eligible candidates will be enrolled in and returning to school full-time in the subsequent academic year and have strong communication, teamwork, customer service, and problem-solving skills. Duties - Union Results and Activities - Non union Credentials - Union This assignment could be an 8 month term from May to December 2026 or two four-month terms from May to August and from September to December 2026. Eligible candidates will be enrolled in and returning to school full-time in the subsequent academic year.
- Enrolled in a full time Education Program at a post-secondary institution
- Completion of 1st year in a Water Engineering Technology Diploma program or related program
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Problem solving and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good organization skills
- Previous experience working in a Water Facility would be considered an asset
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel)
- Valid BC Driver’s License

A current Drivers Abstract is required.
International students must be attending school full time, possess a valid study permit and may require a valid co-op work permit when applying for a co-op position. Please note that international students can only participate in co-op work terms for up to 50% of their total program of study (example : a 2 year diploma program is limited to two co-op work terms).
