THE ROLEWe are hiring Dock Workers / Forklift Operators to support daily inbound and outbound freight operations at a busy transportation dock. This is a hands‑on, physically demanding role that plays a key part in keeping freight moving safely, accurately, and on time.WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT

• Loading, unloading, and moving freight on the dock (50–75 lbs)
• Operating a forklift in a fast‑paced, congested dock environment
• Receiving and shipping freight accurately each day
• Organizing freight for city and line‑haul trailers
• Using proper handling techniques to prevent damage to customer freight
• Following safety procedures, TDG, WHMIS, and site policies
• Assisting with basic shipment paperwork and administrative tasks
• Working as part of a dock team while also being able to work independently

HOURS OF WORK:

• Sunday - Thursday; 10:30pm - 7:00am

REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to lift and move freight weighing up to 75 lbs repeatedly
• Comfortable working in a physically demanding dock environment
• Forklift experience or certification is an asset
• Previous warehouse, dock, or transportation experience preferred
• Strong attention to safety and detail
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Steel‑toe work boots required
• High‑visibility reflective vest required
• Reliable transportation required (location is not on a bus route)
• Criminal background check required prior to employment
• Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) and WHMIS training (can be provided prior to starting)

COMPENSATION

• $19.50/hour + 4% vacation pay
