Job description

We are looking to fill the position of Patrol Dispatcher at Fernie Alpine Resort. Reporting to the Patrol Director, the ideal candidate will possess professionalism, strong communication skills and a thorough understanding of smart guest relations. You Will:

  • Know and adhere to the policies, rules, and protocols outlined in the Resorts of the Canadian Rockies Employee Handbook
  • Know and follow all safe work procedures included in the Safety Management Program
  • Ensure a safe, comfortable and friendly atmosphere for both guests and staff
  • Assist and up sell guests at every opportunity
  • Coordinate base area support for mountain operations and base operations
  • Provide radio communications for resort
  • Provide first aid in base area first aid room for staff and guests
  • Keep records with diligence
  • Deploy on hill resources in case of emergencies, accidents and incidents
  • Administer duties including inventories and ordering of supplies, technical office support and maintain a professional first aid room
  • Know and comply with all expectations of the Injury Management/Return-to-Work Programs
  • Perform other tasks and duties that are applicable

You Have:

· Occupational First Aid Level 3

· Experience with radio and phone communication

· Proficient computer skills on Office programs such as Word, Excel and Google

· Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, ability to manage multiple priorities

· Team player able to complete assigned tasks unsupervised

· The ability to perform with confidence under stressful conditions/situations

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

· Knowledge of ski area an asset

*Please note that this is a full-time, winter seasonal position from mid-fall to mid-spring. Set days of employment cannot be guaranteed. Schedules will be set as per business level needs.
