Job descriptionA degree in civil engineering with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in municipal / land development. Must be a registered professional engineer in good standing with the Association of Professional Engineers & Geoscientists of Alberta (APEGA). Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D software. Experience building Civil 3D templates. Ability to multi-task and work under pressure with minimal supervision. Ability to communicate with other disciplines and work as a team player. Effective time management and strong organization skills. Self-starter and attention to details. Proficient in Microsoft Office. A valid Driver’s License as site inspections and travel will be occasionally required. You are fluent in English with strong written and verbal communication. You are comfortable multi-tasking and prioritizing tasks without supervision. You are a natural self-starter with the ability to meet tight deadlines. You collaborate effectively with colleagues from various disciplines. You understand the importance of providing a high level of customer service to all clients and stakeholders. The position :
We are actively seeking a highly motivated Civil Engineer with a strong background in both field and design work to join our talented team. This is an on-site position working out of our office located in Grande Prairie, AB.
Responsibilities :
- Perform field inspections and site visits for various civil engineering projects.
- Prepare detailed civil engineering drawings and designs by using Civil 3D.
- Prepare civil related engineering reports and analyses.
- Prepare construction cost estimates, project specifications and contract documents.
- Perform engineering calculations for water, sewer, and drainage systems.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including structural, mechanical, and electrical engineers.
- Coordinate with clients, contractors, project team members, and stakeholders on various projects.
