CIVIL ENGINEER – INTERMEDIATE

Our Grande Prairie office is seeking an experienced Intermediate Civil Engineer to join our Municipal Infrastructure team. This role is ideal for a professional who is eager to work on diverse and impactful projects within a supportive and dynamic team environment.

Qualifications:

• B.Sc. in Civil Engineering and eligibility for professional membership with APEGA
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in municipal engineering, with a strong preference for candidates with hands-on experience in construction observation and contract administration
• Working knowledge of water and wastewater distribution and collection systems
• Proficiency in computer software for modeling and spreadsheet analysis
• Proficiency in CAD design modelling software
• Demonstrated aptitude for general construction methods
• Strong business acumen and understanding of municipal infrastructure projects
• Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team atmosphere
• Self-motivated with leadership potential and project management skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage municipal engineering projects from inception through completion
• Perform design, construction site inspections, and contract administration duties
• Develop and review engineering design drawings, specifications, and contract documents
• Conduct site inspections and ensure compliance with project specifications and standards
• Liaise with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project success
• Coordinate designs and construction inspections with multiple disciplines
• Provide mentorship and support to junior engineers and technologists
