Tundra Site Services is looking for a Machinist with recent experience in line boring for a client in the Canadian Arctic; this is a permanent and well-serviced camp.
The line boring work would be a combination of shop and field. When line boring work isn’t available, the position requires providing general support to the millwrights in a mining environment. This contract position has long-term potential for the right candidate and our client is immediately ready for support.
QUALIFICATIONS :
- JM Machinist; other trades may apply if they have substantial and verifiable experience with line boring
- Recent line boring experience, ideally in both field and shop environments (unit to be operated Climax BB5000)
- No Lathe or Mill on-site; line boring is the main tasking
- Mechanically strong, willing / able to assist millwrights or work on other mechanical work when machining is not required
- Willingness to work indoors / outdoors, dayshift or nightshift
- Ability to meet all pre-screening requirements including criminal record check, drug test, and medical
- A strong commitment to site safety policy and procedures
- Strong verifiable references from previous employers
