Job description

Are you an experienced Bookkeeper looking for a new job opportunity?

Position : Bookkeeper

Location : North York, ON (Hybrid)

Type : 6 month contract to start with potential to extend or convert to permanent full-time employee

Start date : ASAP

Are you highly proficient with QuickBooks, both Desktop and Online versions?

Are you highly proficient in Microsoft Excel?

Can you start working immediately?

Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate financial records
  • Manage both AP and AR
  • Prepare and process payroll (bi-weekly)
  • File HST and source deductions on a timely basis
  • Assist with monthly reporting and journal entries
  • Support with year-end tasks such as T4 and T5 preparation
  • Organize and maintain digital and physical financial documents
  • Qualifications

  • Proven bookkeeping experience, experience in professional services industry is an asset
  • Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks Desktop and Online
  • Proficient in AP, AR, bank reconciliations, and general ledger entries
  • Hands-on experience with payroll and government remittances (HST, source deductions)
  • Familiarity with Excel (Pivot table, VLOOKUP)
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
