Job description
Our client, a dynamic and rapidly growing company based in Pointe - Claire, Quebec, is looking for a detail-oriented and bilingual Buyer to join their evolving purchasing and logistics team. This is an exciting opportunity to play an important role in buying materials for their valued customers. With a culture built on innovation, efficiency, and cross-functional collaboration, this role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Sourcing materials and items for customers, maintaining optimal levels of inventory.
  • Maintain documentation, adhering to the established company policies and procedures.
  • Update vendor information and delivery dates in computer systems.
  • Issue purchase orders, review vendor order confirmations and communicate all information over to vendors.
  • Expedite orders, resolve late or missed deliveries.
  • Implement strategic actions for cost reductions.
  • Check for errors in invoicing and orders.
  • Foster and strengthen vendor relations.
  • Communicate with all departments within the company.
  • Adhere to company's health and safety policies and regulations.

Requirements:
  • Strong communication and written skills in English and French are required.
  • 2+ year experience in a buyer capacity is required.
  • Certification in Supply Chain Management, APICS, or Operations is well regarded.
  • Excellent computer skills with Intermediate to Advanced Microsoft Office experience.
  • Knowledge of industrial products and distribution buying is considered an asset.
