Job descriptionExcellent technical writing, English grammar, and communication skills. Rapid learning and adaptation to new products, solutions, and technologies are essential. Expertise with SAP products—especially SAP SuccessFactors, SAP Procure‑to‑Pay and Order‑to‑Cash processes (preferably S / 4HANA but SAP ECC is acceptable); intermediate technical experience (ABAP, Workflow, or BASIS) is a bonus. Expertise with OpenText products and solutions, especially document management solutions such as OpenText Content Management (Content Server), OpenText Core Content Management, and OpenText SAP Partner Products, as well as experience with SaaS platforms, Microsoft SQL Server, Microsoft Exchange, Windows and Linux OS, VMWare / Hyper‑V, Kubernetes / containerization, and Azure. Web development skills (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and familiarity with JSON, XML, and CSV file formats. Programming skills (C#, Java) and comfort with Eclipse and / or Visual Studio. Experience with authoring tools such as Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint), Adobe FrameMaker, XML authoring environments, and eLearning development tools (Adobe Captivate, HTML5, Synthesia, LearnExperts LEAi, among others). Formal courseware development training or equivalent experience (e.g., Friesen‑Kaye or Langevin) is an asset. Preferably a degree or diploma in Computer Science, Engineering, Programming, or a related field such as Adult Learning, with at least three years of courseware or eLearning experience crafting technical curricula for consultants, administrators, and developers. Experience in instructor‑led training is an asset. Strong ability to work independently and collaboratively on joint development projects. Project‑management skills for managing updates or new courses, including deadlines, milestones, and potential obstacles.

YOUR IMPACT
The Courseware Development team creates learning content for a wide range of OpenText products and solutions, supporting both internal and external customers. This role focuses on producing high‑quality, technical learning materials in various formats—conventional manuals, distance learning, eLearning (including video and simulation), student books, instructor presentation materials, online content, certification exam questions, and more. You will work in a dynamic environment with frequent product updates and minimal travel. Note : This role works in office on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.
YOU ARE GREAT AT
- Planning, designing, and creating new courses in various learning content formats as demand arises.
- Updating existing courseware and determining necessary changes when new product and solution versions are released, including research and testing of new product functionality.
- Managing each course update or new course as a project, meeting deadlines and milestones.
- Acting as a subject matter expert to assist team members and being supported in return.
- Reviewing and testing peer learning content.
- Delivering training to OpenText employees, customers, and partners in your area of expertise, including train‑the‑trainer sessions and annual user conferences.
- Working with and creating virtualized lab environments.
- Communicating effectively with the Senior Manager of Courseware Development to provide feedback on projects, schedules, priorities, and other responsibilities.
- Performing other duties as assigned.
