Scope of the Role
We are seeking a talented and experienced Microsoft Dynamics Business Central Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of functional and technical skills focused on the Microsoft stack.
This in-house resource will be instrumental in configuration projects, integrations, report building, and automation tasks to support our business users and enhance our operational capabilities.
Duties and responsibilities :
- Configuration and Customization : Support APEX business users by configuring, reconfiguring, and tailoring the existing Microsoft Dynamics Business Central (BC) solution to execute business processes effectively.
- Reporting : Build and configure reports and output documents using SSRS and Power BI to provide actionable insights to APEX users.
- Integration Development : Develop and support customer-facing integrations, including EDI (using SPS Commerce for 3PLs / Data Masons) and eCommerce / Web Portal integrations.
- Automation and Workflow : Create automation and workflows for key business processes such as sales order approvals and credit limit approvals using the Microsoft Power Platform.
- Technical Support : Serve as the go-to expert for APEX users, providing technical support and troubleshooting for the Microsoft Dynamics BC solution and related technologies.
Requirements :
- Experience :
- Proven experience as a functional and / or technical consultant on Microsoft Dynamics BC implementations.
- Technical Skills :
- Proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics Business Central ERP.
- Experience with SSRS and Power BI for reporting.
- Familiarity with Insight Works WMS (nice to have).
- Knowledge of EDI systems, particularly SPS Commerce for 3PLs / Data Masons, and general EDI expertise.
- Competence in using the Microsoft Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps, Power BI).
- Familiarity with Microsoft Teams and Azure.
- Industry Knowledge :
- Understanding of functional areas within BC or other ERPs, such as Finance Management, Trade & Inventory, Logistics, 3PL, and Projects (Jobs).
- Experience in manufacturing, distribution, logistics, and job shop environments.
- Additional Skills :
- Exposure to middleware systems like logic apps or similar.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
