The Opportunity :

ML6 has partnered with a dynamic non-profit organization in their search for a Senior Manager, Communications and Creative to join their growing team.

In this role you will be responsible for merging compelling copy and creative design to develop content that resonates. The ideal candidate will have experience writing top notch copy, managing creative teams, and is dynamic enough to communicate across the foodservice, grocery, healthcare, pharmaceutical, and retail sectors.

What You'll Be Doing :

  • Motivating, engaging, coaching, and performance managing the Communications and Creative team, including a social media & communications coordinator, a graphic designer, and freelance copywriters and designers.
  • Responsibility for overall writing and storytelling within the organization, including development of organizational key messages and content that reinforces value propositions across all touchpoints.
  • Ownership of internal communications strategy.
  • Overseeing implementation of social media strategy, including long-term content planning, platform optimization, and best practice.
  • Creating and implementing PR / media strategy.
  • Overseeing brand reputation, including monitoring and responding to Google reviews.
  • Maintaining issues management / crisis communications plans as needed and play a lead role in the company’s efforts to anticipate, identify, and address potential threats to reputational health.
  • Providing creative leadership, innovation, direction, and vision.
  • Inspiring ideas for converting copy into graphics.
  • Ensuring all creative projects are delivered on time and on brief.

What You'll Need to Be Successful :

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, PR, or a related area.
  • 7+ year’s experience in writing, developing, and implementing internal and external corporate communications strategies, social media, PR, media plans, and directing creative work inhouse or through a creative agency.
  • Familiarity with relevant business tools, including but not limited to social media (Sprout), media monitoring (Meltwater, Critical Mention), Canva, Photoshop, InDesign.
  • Impeccable writing, listening, editing, and communications skills with proven ability to communicate succinct, impactful messages and coach and train others to do the same.
  • Native-level fluency in English with impeccable grammar, editing, and proofreading skills.
  • Strong presence with the ability to lead tough conversations, navigate complex organizations, and influence decision making across all levels of business.
