The Site Administrator has primary accountability for maintaining and administering construction contracts and associated obligations, inclusive of procurement assurance while maintaining collaborative relationships with project operations staff.
The individual will also be responsible for promotion of the HSE training programs and standards, coordinating the delivery of classroom and online learning activities, and supporting other HSE-related and project site deliverables.
This opportunity will be a 1-year contract.
Duties & Responsibilities :
- Compliance with internal controls, policies, and procedures, establish a consistent approach and full adoption of all operations policies and procedures.
- Compile Operation and Maintenance manuals per project specifications.
- Maintain compliance reporting database metrics.
- Coordinate Trade Partner Start-up meetings with the HSE Advisor and Superintendent.
- Ensure that Trade Partners are conducting the proper training as per Clark Builders and Occupational Health and Safety standards.
- Audit project level training records for compliance with the Clark Builders HSE Training Matrix.
- Conduct safety orientation for every new worker on the project and record their participation.
- Gather and file Toolbox meetings, Pre-Task Plans (PTP) and Job Hazard Analyses (JHA) completed on the project.
- Assist with weekly safety meetings and project meetings (as required) and issue meeting minutes.
- Support the development and maintenance of Project Fire Safety Plans and Emergency Response Plans.
- Support the Clark Builders permitting systems and assist with issuing and closing out permits.
- Support the HSE Advisor and Superintendent with administrative duties as directed by the Site Project Manager.
- Collaborate with the HSE Advisor and the Injury Management Coordinator on effective injury management.
Skills & Knowledge :
- Demonstrates initiative, is conscientious and provides complete follow through on areas of responsibility.
- Ability and willingness to become proficient with a variety of software.
- Ability to perform basic Internet and Intranet functions.
- Basic understanding of Health and Safety Systems / Programs.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team as well as independently.
- Attentiveness to detail and ability to prioritize and manage a diverse workload within a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient at planning, organizational and time management skills.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality to comply with all regulatory requirements and Company procedures.
Qualifications :
- High School Diploma is required
- 1 to 2 years of applied learning / training and development experience
- Experience in the construction industry an asset
- Health and Safety Administration (HSA) designation is an asset
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365 for Business.
- Ability to maintain a composed and professional demeanor within a flexible and busy work environment.
