While specific duties for the position of Teaching Assistant may vary with each course, typically they may include advance preparation, leading weekly small-group practical sessions, demonstrating relevant techniques and methods to student groups, evaluating student performance of relevant techniques and methods, and offering guidance and mentoring to students. Available : September 2024 Additional hours will be required for administrative duties, which are not specified in the schedule. Qualifications Experience

• Clinical experience will be considered an asset for some courses
• Teaching experience with adult learners, particularly using on-line learning platforms (Moodle) is an asset

Education

• Health-care professional registered in the province of Ontario (ND, DC, MD, etc.)
• Training in teaching methodology, curriculum design, and evaluation at a post-secondary level is an asset

Skills

• Exceptional oral and written communication and facilitation skills with the ability to motivate and engage students
• Excellent organization, analytical, research and time management skills
