They have been around for over 15 years and are known to build lasting relationships with clientele and have strong retention and growth opportunities.
They do commercial and industrial projects predominately and have an excellent green environment project currently that needs support.
Your new role
The open role is for a Site Superintendent (ICI / Concrete Forming) who can lead the seamless execution of a commercial project for a green environment in the West GTA.
This project is a concrete building and requires excavation, preparation and a large amount of concrete. They will conduct regular inspection ensuring the highest of quality standards are met and in line with building codes and safety standards.
They will handle scheduling of activities, oversee procurement and delivery of materials, while communicating effectively with project managers, architects, engineers and other stakeholders.
Finally, the Superintendent will maintain accurate and up-to-date records of finishing activities including progress reports, inspections and relevant documentation.
What you'll need to succeed
The successful Site Superintendent - Concrete will have at least 7 years in ICI construction building large scale projects with concrete.
The superintendent should have excellent knowledge of concrete forming, formwork systems, and come from a structural concrete background.
The candidate must have built commercial or industrial buildings and have some knowledge of mechanical and electrical components as its a green building.
They will have post-secondary education (diploma or degree) in building technology or a related field. They will be Gold Seal Certified and have all required First Aid and CSAO Health and Safety training.
The Site Superintendent will have a thorough understanding of construction methods, scheduling, reading blueprints, construction documents, etc.
Finally, they will thoroughly understand Ontario Building code, be capable of performing layouts and be proficient with site software including Microsoft applications.
