About the role
The Security Operations Analyst will be based in the Americas region and reporting to the Global Information Security Director.
The Security Operations Analyst will respond to all alerts and incidents reported globally; take action to protect customer, employee and business interests through containment as needed, and provide technical oversight on security request.
Key Responsibilities :
- Actively monitor security alerts and reports; monitor systems and networks for potential intrusion and inappropriate internal and external access.
- Respond to notices within agreed upon service level agreements timelines with external vendors and internal staff.
- Work with regional IT management and staff to ensure the effective application and operation of security measures, controls, and procedures.
This includes related areas such as patching, Office 365 security, anti-virus, backups, and system administration.
- Work closely with the appropriate IT Operations staff on the implementation of components such as intrusion detection / prevention, data leakage prevention, content filtering, firewall compliance, vulnerability, and security event management.
- Work with assigned internal IT staff and external service providers to analyze security incidents and coordinate the incident response;
contain, eradicate, recover, determine root cause, develop corrective action plans, and remediate. Manage remediation plans toward closure.
- Assist in preparing security incident reports, evidence collection, chain of custody, and validation efforts.
- Contribute to the design and documentation of cyber security solutions across all cyber domains.
- Review, update, and manage the documentation, testing and validation of security controls
- Coordinate operational security activities with outside vendors.
- Work with the Global Information Security Director responsible to create and provide security status reports to the CIO and Chief Sustainability Officer.
- Provide guidance and support for the Service Desk and IT Support staff in the handling of security related issues.
- Stay up to date on the latest threat intelligence and emerging technologies, to anticipate security breaches and respond proactively.
- Communicate to the wider IT team on new threats and vulnerabilities with the potential to impact on ALS IT and business operations.
- Work with IT leadership to develop policy, procedures, and training that meet ALS Global security requirements.
- Participate in change management, review, and approval process.
- Design, administer, and execute quarterly security assessment and training exercises.
- Respond to third party risk assessments and security questionnaires as needed.

Required Qualifications :
- Grade 12 required
- CISSP, CASM, Security+ or similar
- At least 2 years’ computers and networks experience within multinational companies
- Experience in both Domain and Workgroup environments,
- Networking (LAN, Wi-Fi)
- Router, Switch and network device configuration.
- Skills in English, Spanish and Portuguese are advantageous
- Ability to travel

- Annual salary ranging from $90,000 - $110,000.
