Reporting to the Fairmont Gold Managerresponsibilities and essential job functions include but are notlimited to the following :
- Consistentlyoffer professional friendly and engagingservice
- Demonstrate Fairmont Corporatestandards and Service Promise standards in every interaction withguests and colleagues.
- Make certain that allFairmont Chteau Laurier policies procedures and corporate standardsare known followed and acted upon at alltimes
- Responsible for all aspects of theFairmont Gold operations to ensure a smooth operation and thehighest level of guest satisfaction at alltimes
- Review all Fairmont Gold reservations toensure all standards are met
- Ensure that thereservations of our Fairmont President Club Members are in orderand that members expectations are met
- Directand execute approved plans and programs for Fairmont Gold inaccordance with company and hotelpolicies
- Track and forecast daily weekly andmonthly Fairmont Gold occupancy
- Control roominventory including out of order rooms sell outs preventivemaintenance and special room projects
- Ensurethe highest revenues possible are generated by participating insupporting and promoting the Fairmont Gold upsell program as wellas monitoring honour bar revenue
- Provideexceptional concierge information to ourguests
- Establish and maintain communicationwith all Fairmont Gold staff on a dailybasis
- Develop and maintain contacts withcounter parts in other Fairmont properties as well as other hotelsand hospitality services in the city
- Strong andeffective communication with all other departments highlightingFairmont Gold requirements from supplies to manpower requirementsto ensure proper level of service to ourguests
- Attend Department Communication meetingsand other meetings in absence of Fairmont GoldManager
- Maintain and report housekeeping andmaintenance deficiencies in thedepartment
- Provide exceptional service in theFairmont Gold lounge
- Responsible for the set upand break down of all food and beverage presentations in the lounge(breakfast coffee / tea service bar service andcanaps)
- Assist guests regarding food andbeverage menu items
- Have knowledge of all menuitems garnishes contents and preparationmethods
- Attention to detail in ensuring thelounge is well maintained at all times and that the ambiancechanges in the lounge from one food and beverage presentation tothe next
- Lead and supervise the Fairmont Goldattendants to ensure all Fairmont Gold Standards and operatingprocedures are adhered
- Participate inrecruitment selection and performance management (includingcorrective action) of all colleagues working in FairmontGold
- Participate in the orientation and crosstraining process of all hotel colleagues who provide services toFairmont Gold guests
- Ensure that theappropriate service levels are provided and achieved at alltimes
- Participate actively in the achievementof Guest Satisfaction initiatives
- Participateactively in the hotel community to further interdepartmentalworking relationships
- Take ownership in theachievement of Colleague Engagement Surveyobjectives
- Promote and enforce the hotelsHealth & Safety standards and emergencyprocedures
- Promote and adheres to the companysEnvironmental and Green Team policies andprocedures
- Perform related duties and specialprojects asassigned
Qualifications :
- Previous FrontDesk Agent experience required
- Two yearsexperience as a Concierge or Hotel Guest ServicesAgent
- Previous experience in a supervisorymanagerial capacity an asset
- Must have a provenrecord of exceeding guest expectations and commitment to guestservice
- A Degree or Diploma in HospitalityAdministration from a recognized University orCollege
- Previous food and beverage servingexperience is preferred. Smart Serve certificationrequired
- A sound knowledge of major culturesand expectations of internationaltravelers
- Excellent written and verbalcommunication skills in both officiallanguages
- Excellent interpersonal skills withproven service leadership skills and the ability to inspirecolleagues to deliver outstandingservice
- Strong problem solvingabilities
- Must have the ability to workcohesively as part of a team
- Organized andresultsoriented with the ability to be flexible and perform wellunder pressure in a fastpaced changingenvironment
- Proven initiative and ability tocomplete projects in a timely manner
