Application Release Engineer (Websphere)

What You Will Do

• Create non-functional test plans for application, M / W and D / B technologies on a project-by-project basis
• Execute test plan scenarios using scripts if available
• Conduct non-functional testing including operability, failover and negative
• Create reports of test procedures, defects observed, & test result metrics

Skills and Experience You Will Need

Required

• 5+ years in the IT Technology field
• Knowledge of ITS internal Business practices and related tools / processes would be an asset.
• Strong change management skills
• Excellent UNIX (AIX preferred) experience.
• Excellent Windows Server experience.
• Experience with WebSphere, Apache, and Tomcat.
• Experience with Cloud promotions.
• Knowledge of Azure and JBoss
• Knowledge of Confluence and Jira

Desired

• Exposure to SOA based apps.
• IIS experience
• Knowledge of Agile and DevOps tools (. Jenkins, Bitbucket, Nexus, and methodologies

Education :

College / University or equivalent work experience

Physical Requirements :

• Prolonged periods of remaining stationary at a desk and working on a computer
• Must be able to lift to 15 lbs., as needed
