Role Description
As a Product Designer, you will :
- Lead the design process from concept to implementation.
- Conduct user research and apply insights to design.
- Create high-fidelity prototypes or mockups to effectively communicate designs.
- Design intuitive and visually appealing user interfaces.
- Effectively communicate designs and collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement them.
- Develop and implement design strategies aligned with product goals, standards and architecture.
- Develop, maintain, and scale the compass design system for use across product modules.
- Conduct usability testing, ensure accessibility, and mentor junior designers.
About you
- 5+ years of experience designing web based software applications; B2B / Fintech experience is a plus.
- Experience working with cross-functional product, design, and engineering teams in an agile / lean environment.
- Expertise in using design thinking and human-centered design methodologies to facilitate the design process
- A drive to really understanding and confirming the problem before designing a solution.
- Experience with building and maintaining a design system in Figma and working with developers to maintain a design system in coded design system.
- Proficient with design specification / dev handoff to include designs for ( design system usage, interaction design, copywriting, i18n, a11y, error handling, and handling data variations etc.)
- Strong prototyping and interaction design skills, either with graphic tools or in HTML / CSS / JS.
- Great written and spoken communication skills
- Self-starting on projects and working from a position of ambiguity is very beneficial
- Familiarity with accessibility guidelines and techniques for making web-based software accessible is an asset
