The ideal candidate will assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications, maintaining patient records, and providing excellent customer service.
Responsibilities : Compounding non-sterile / sterile medications (suspensions, creams, ointments, capsules). Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing compounded medications.
Maintain pharmacy inventory by checking pharmaceutical stock to determine inventory levels. Process prescriptions accurately and efficiently.
Provide exceptional customer service to patients. Ensure compliance with all pharmacy regulations and laws. Entering, updating, and processing all data in pharmacy computer system (KROLL) in an efficient manner.
Inputting and refilling prescriptions) Accurately billing prescriptions. Communicating with a variety of health care professionals Qualifications : Prior pharmacy experience is an important asset.
Non-sterile / sterile compounding experience Knowledge of medical terminology and medication administration Possess a working knowledge of pharmacy calculations.
Knowledge of third-party adjudication processes and guidelines Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Fluent with computer systems such as Kroll, POS, email, word processing, spreadsheet applications, etc.
Ability to work effectively and independently in a fast-paced environment. Teamwork and positive attitude are requirements to ensure smooth operations of the pharmacy and to embrace the family atmosphere.
