About Our Client : Our client, a leading construction and engineering company, has established itself as an industry leader with a strong presence in Canada.

With offices in Toronto, Vancouver, and Montreal, they have successfully completed numerous transportation, bridge, dam, tunnel, and other critical infrastructure projects.

Your Responsibilities : As an Environmental Lead, you will play a pivotal role in managing environmental aspects of our client's projects.

Your responsibilities will include :

  • Leading soil and excavated material and dewatering strategy as the Qualified Person (QP) for the project.
  • Collaborating with design and construction teams to ensure strong environmental awareness and stewardship.
  • Managing and supervising third-party environmental consultants.
  • Regularly reviewing and updating Soil and Excavated Material Management Plans and Groundwater Management and Dewatering Plans.
  • Liaising with soil and water receiving facilities.
  • Leading discussions on soil and water management during environmental working group meetings.
  • And much more!

What We're Looking For : Our client is seeking candidates with the following qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field.
  • Qualified Person (QP) status or pursuing QP designation.
  • Knowledge of Ontario environmental legislation, particularly Ontario Regulation 153 / 04 and 406 / 19.
  • 5-10 years of experience in Phase I / II Environmental Site Assessments and / or Soil Characterization Reports.
  • Experience in the construction industry is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
