Accountabilities :
Reporting to the AVP, Credit Risk Audit, the Senior Audit Manager is responsible for providing specialized in-depth audit expertise and contributing to the planning, risk assessment and / or execution of audits across different business units within TD Securities, TD Business Banking, and Credit Risk Management.
Specifically, the Senior Audit Manager will :
- Lead and participate in TD Securities, Business Banking, and Retail Credit risk audits preparing and completing testing programs and / or credit file reviews.
- Assess business risks and processes and develop, update and execute related audit programs.
- Direct, oversee and plan audits, resource requirements and operational processes to ensure audits are executed and completed in accordance with established time frames.
- Oversee and execute the follow-up of findings arising from internal audits and regulatory reviews in accordance with established standards and timelines as assigned.
- Manage ongoing communication and reporting process with the client and senior management.
- Contribute to the strategic direction of Audit Division, on the development of audit plans, identification of emerging trends, issues and evolving regulatory requirements;
assess potential impact across the audited business units by providing input to the team and / or senior management.
- Build and maintain positive working relationships by effectively communicating and regularly sharing information, issues, points of interest and knowledge with audit management, colleagues, and internal and external business partners.
- Support management and other team members in the achievement of individual, divisional and team goals.
Qualifications & / Skills / Experience :
Minimum 5 years of relevant business experience in a relevant control function or lending position (non-retail or retail credit).
Experience with credit related processes is considered an asset.
- Demonstrated leadership and influencing skills.
- Ability to navigate in a space that is ambiguous, complex and not always clearly defined.
- Strong relationship management skills.
- Demonstrates attributes of a strong team player with an ability to manage a team of audit professionals directly / indirectly including developing, training and coaching other team members and work independently.
- Is goal oriented, highly motivated and willing to positively accept new challenges.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with a high level of computer literacy.
- A business / finance degree is an asset
- Limited travel is required.
