Senior Accountant

Responsibilities include but are not limited to :

• Providing support to the Controller / C.F.O.
• Preparing monthly, quarterly and year-end financial statements
• Assisting with annual financial audit
• Preparing ad hoc reports and analyses as required
• Recording accounts payable entries
• Reconciling and recording accounts receivable, and preparing invoices
• Reconciling bank accounts
• Preparing and processing payroll entries
• Filing GST returns
• Filing of accounting records.

Requirements :

• A bachelor’s degree in accounting is required
• A minimum of 3 years’ public practice experience in Canada is preferred
• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality regarding the company and its employees and clients
• Attention to detail and organized
• Someone who is able to take initiative and ensures tasks are completed fully
• Intermediate knowledge of Word and Excel
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively over the telephone, in person and via email
• Excellent time management.
• Ability to multitask

Start date is as soon as possible. This position is full time, 8 : 30am to 5pm, Monday to Friday.

This is NOT a remote job.

Salary : $75,000 to $90,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualification.
