To act as a personal representative of theRoyal York by providing guests with our high standards of serviceas well as practicing upselling techniques.
To ensure that allguests leave happy and satisfied with the service and overalldining experience. Must have extensive understanding of alcoholicand nonalcoholic beverages and the serving methods for eachbeverage.
- Toreport to duty punctually in order to maintain the integrity ofcoworkers and guests
- To consistently offerpersonal friendly and efficient service
- To havefull knowledge of the menu beverage lists (alcoholic andnonalcoholic) and all other special promotions taking place in theoutlet
- To take corrective actions when servingdissatisfied guests as the main goal is to have the guest leavehappy
- To prepare all beverages according toguest requests as well as all coworkersneeds
- To maintain teamwork and good work ethicswith all guests (internal and external) by assisting coworkers withany duties but without compromising the experience of any guestsdining experience
- To record and fill all dailyrequisitions efficiently to maintain sufficient stock for eachshift / day and to complete month endinventory
- To have read and understood all hotelpolicies and procedures rules and regulations as outlined in theemployee handbook
- To understand the concepthours of operation of therestaurant / bar
- To be aware of safetyand sanitation when handling beverages and the equipment used inpreparation of the beverages
- Attend preshiftbriefings weekly and monthly meetings to ensure open lines ofcommunication between all employees
- To fullyunderstand the hotels recycling program andprocedures
- To immediately report any accidentthat happens to a guest a coworker or yourself to yourmanager
- To express your concerns suggestions orcomments on how to improve the guests experience or to improve theoperation as a whole
- To have a fullunderstanding of all the equipment used in the outlet includingP.O. S. system. To be able to confidently use the Micros systemincluding closing opening and modifying guestchecks
- Assist guests with selections andsuggest wines that accompany meals
- To have anunderstanding of all other outlets services and offices in thehotel and their locations
- Balancing all dailytransactions and remitting according to the policies andprocedures
- Full understanding of alcoholhandling procedurepolicies
Qualifications :
- Previous workexperience in a restaurant / food and beveragesetting
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ateam player attitude
- Smart Serve trainingprogram certification
- Must be age of majorityto serve alcoholic beverages
- Cash handlingabilities
- Previous bartending experience in awellestablished hotel and / orbar
