We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Corporate & Association Conference Sales Manager to join our team and drive revenue growth.
The candidate will be responsible for researching sales leads, developing strategies, nurturing client relationships, creating proposals and presentations, and achieving sales targets.
This role will focus on sales for national and international associations and corporate conferences and events. You would work closely with the management team to continue to expand Venue West’s client base.
THE MUST HAVES

- An in-depth understanding of the conference and events industry.
- Proven work experience as a sales manager or similar role in the events and hospitality industry.
- You are a multitasker who is used to working on multiple sales leads at one time while being accountable to internal stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate, present, and influence credibly and effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Prioritizing and deadlines are in your DNA, and you don’t get flustered in stressful situations.
- Willingness to learn, test, and share knowledge.
- You are a great mentor for junior staff and set the bar for professionalism.
THE DETAILS
- Develop and execute strategic and sales plans to achieve sales targets and expand Venue West’s client base.
- Research new leads, reach out via email and phone calls, develop proposals, and deliver presentations.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with potential clients, tourism bureaus and other industry partners.
- Identify emerging markets and trends in the industry and communicate them with the team.
- Collaborate with the President and other team members to identify and develop targeted sales strategies.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual sales reports and forecasts.
- Participate in educational opportunities, professional networking events and other industry organizations to maintain a competitive edge and expand your network.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Demonstrated experience multitasking and prioritizing is a MUST.
- 3+ years related experience in a conference sales role or equivalent position.
- Self-starter.
- Excellent English grammar skills both written and oral.
- Strong client management and communication skills.
- Ability to work with multiple teams and supervisors.
- In-depth knowledge of MS Office.
