Responsibilities

Spearhead the establishment and execution of architecture best practices organization-wide, collaborating with stakeholders from IT and business departments.

Develop and maintain conceptual architecture models, ensuring they align with organizational objectives and stakeholder input.

Provide expert guidance on enterprise architecture, covering technology, information, data, security, and integration.

Identify and assess IT-related risks, devising strategies to mitigate risks and enhance IT effectiveness.

Contribute to crafting solution strategies and business cases, including TCO and ROI calculations.

Document IT solution architecture for projects, adhering to organizational standards.

Collaborate with internal and external partners to align technology decisions with system architecture.

Actively participate in the Architecture Review Board, offering insights and recommendations.

Provide technical guidance and support to project teams throughout the lifecycle.

Facilitate technical and business solution discussions for diverse audiences.

Conduct various research activities to inform decision-making processes.

Evaluate products and concepts through proof of concept development and evaluations.

Develop guidelines compliant with industry standards for technology implementations.

Offer technical mentorship and guidance to stakeholders within the organization.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent qualification from a recognized university.

At least 7 years of experience in roles such as Enterprise Architect, Solution Architect, IT Architect, or Lead Developer, within technically complex environments.

Proficient in implementing Architecture standards, Governance frameworks (such as TOGAF / Zachman), and managing Technical Debt.

Skilled in collaborating with senior business and technology leaders to ensure alignment between architectural options, technology choices, and business objectives.

Familiarity with Agile development and CI / CD methodologies, including experience with supporting platforms like Azure DevOps, Azure Pipelines, Jenkins, or Jira.

Experience in designing and / or working with microservices architecture, including API gateways and / or service mesh.

Proven track record in architecting robust and cost-effective solutions for both public cloud and on-premises hosting, with specific expertise in Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

Leadership experience in providing end-to-end project support, including close collaboration with Project Managers to ensure successful project delivery.

Demonstrated proficiency in conceptual architecture and design, with the ability to work at an analytical and abstract level.

Exceptional interpersonal skills, including teamwork, facilitation, and negotiation.

Strong written and verbal communication skills, capable of effectively communicating with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
