Reporting to the Board of Directors, the CEO will function as a primary ambassador and spokesperson for CCHL. They will provide strategic organizational oversight and leadership, driving the development and execution of plans that align with and advance CCHL’s mission, vision, purpose, and values.
Additionally, the CEO will ensure the implementation of appropriate policies, procedures, and systems to uphold regulatory requirements, while also monitoring and reporting on associated risks to achieve results.
With a national system-wide healthcare perspective, the CEO will cultivate strategic alliances and develop coalitions to enhance CCHL’s presence and regularly engage with members, chapter leaders, and key sector and government stakeholders, fostering trusting and mutually beneficial relationships.
The CEO will also foster an organizational culture guided by innovation and collaboration.
The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker, adept at recognizing opportunities, inspiring action, and delivering outcomes.
They excel in cultivating professional relationships based on collaboration, mutual respect, partnership, and transparency and their leadership style is characterized as consultative, empathetic, and decisive.
With a keen emotional intelligence, the ideal candidate understands the importance of professionalism in complex settings and demonstrates proficiency in managing diverse stakeholder groups.
The CEO brings an extensive network of contacts and a proven track record of shaping policy, securing funding, and advancing organizational goals across federal government and non-governmental organizations (NGOs).
Their experience with a Board of Directors, coupled with comprehensive system-wide experience in or an understanding of the Canadian healthcare landscape, with respect for provincial and territorial nuances, offers invaluable insight to the College.
Bilingualism in both English and French is ideal.
