The Chemistry Industry Association of Canada (CIAC) is the association for Canada’s chemistry and plastics sector leaders : innovators, solution providers, and world-class stewardship pioneers.

As the founders of Responsible Care®, the chemistry industry’s U.N.-recognized sustainability initiative, CIAC is a respected voice, speaking on behalf of a membership that is committed to the betterment of society, the environment, and the economy for all Canadians.

You will be involved in and influence some of the most important public policy debates in both federal and provincial jurisdictions, as well as the continental and international arenas.

Throughout all aspects, you will be supported by and be expected to embody the industry’s Responsible Care Commitment to Do the Right Thing and Be Seen to Do the Right Thing’, always and with a never-ending drive to continual improvement.

Reporting to the Board of Directors, the CEO will provide strategic organizational oversight and leadership for the association, driving the development and execution of plans that align with and advance CIAC's mission, vision, purpose, and values.

The CEO will ensure the association delivers exceptional value to its members and continues to be a trusted source of information to an ecosystem of stakeholders.

As the ideal candidate, you are a deeply experienced and inspiring senior leader and communicator who fosters a high-performing culture of transparency, accountability, and exceptional member service.

Thriving in dynamic environments, you are known for your ability to distil complex information into clear, relatable messages for diverse audiences.

The CEO will be a respected leader, with a proven track record of influencing and partnering with policymakers, and furthering industry interests across federal government, industry partners, and Canadians from coast to coast to coast.

Vous participerez à certains des plus importants débats sur les politiques publiques, tant au niveau fédéral que provincial, ainsi que sur la scène continentale et internationale, et vous influencerez ces débats.

Le ou la PDG relève du conseil d’administration et assure la supervision stratégique et le leadership de l’association, stimule l’élaboration et l’exécution de plans qui s’harmonisent avec la mission, la vision, le but et les valeurs de l’ACIC et font avancer ceux-ci.

Il ou elle veille à ce que l’association offre une valeur exceptionnelle à ses membres et reste une source fiable d’information pour un écosystème d’intervenants.

En tant que candidat(e) idéal(e), vous êtes un cadre supérieur et un(e) communicateur(rice) très expérimenté(e) et inspirant(e) qui promeut une culture de haut rendement axée sur la transparence, la responsabilité et le service exceptionnel aux membres.

Vous vous épanouissez dans un environnement dynamique et vous êtes réputé(e) pour votre capacité à transformer de l’information complexe en messages clairs et pertinents pour divers publics.

Le ou la PDG est un leader respecté qui a fait ses preuves en faisant équipe avec des décideurs et en influençant ceux-ci, ainsi qu’en faisant progresser les intérêts de l’industrie au sein du gouvernement fédéral, chez les partenaires de l’industrie et parmi la population canadienne d’un bout à l’autre du pays.
