Job Description
Reporting to the Team Lead of English Content, the Freelance Copywriter writes the product descriptions for SSENSE’s wide range of products.
Working on-site at our Studio in Montreal, they will ensure the best-in-class quality of our written content for our e-commerce platform, in line with SSENSE guidelines and quality standards.
The ideal candidate has meticulous attention to detail and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Copywriting - 95%
Execute copy on assigned SKUs across a variety of brands and product categories, while respecting the established style guides and balancing with productivity targets
Follow SSENSE production processes, and flag and / or troubleshoot issues to ensure daily production completion
Administer departmental guidelines to meet the quality standard and upkeep SSENSE brand tone of voice
Conduct research on terminology, brand signature and style name as needed
Manage time appropriately to achieve daily production deadlines and quality targets
Review and follow-up on SSENSE style guides
Continuous Improvement - 5%
Consistently review daily copy feedback provided by Sub Editors to ensure quality and accuracy
Review and follow-up on industry tools, techniques, and best practices in copywriting
Qualifications
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s degree in English Literature, Fashion Communications, Journalism or a related field
2-3 years experience in professional writing
Fluency in English language
SKILLS

Ability to work effectively to meet tight deadlines in a fast paced environment
Team player with great communication and interpersonal skills
Creative and agile thinker who is self-motivated and collaborative
Proven ability to process high volumes of workflow
