Required Skills :

• Proven experience as an AIX Administrator, with at least 8 to 10 years of hands-on experience.
• Experience with system migrations, including planning, execution, and post-migration support.
• Strong knowledge of AIX operating system internals, configuration management, and performance tuning.
• Familiarity with IBM WebSphere application servers and middleware (optional).
• Experience with Converge cloud environments, preferably on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) (optional).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., IBM Certified Specialist - AIX, IBM Certified System Administrator - WebSphere) are a plus.
• Converged cloud environments on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

Roles and responsibilities :

• Administer AIX operating systems, including installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.
• Plan and execute system migrations, including data migration and application migration from legacy systems to AIX platforms.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess migration requirements, develop migration strategies, and execute migration plans.
• Gather knowledge on current environment, participate in designing target environment and document
• Monitor system performance and ensure system availability and reliability.
• Implement security measures and ensure compliance with company policies and standards.
• Document system configurations, procedures, and best practices
• Transition target knowledge to Operation teams
• 8. Optional : Administer IBM WebSphere applications servers and middleware.
• Optional : Work with converged cloud environments on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
