Our client would like to add an experienced Business Development Manager to their leadership team. As the successful candidate, you have a strong background in a sales position in the commercial janitorial cleaning industry.
In this role, you will rely on your extensive business development experience to drive growth by identifying new opportunities and building strategic partnerships.
Core responsibilities include researching market trends, analyzing competitors, and developing revenue-boosting strategies while successfully engaging with clients to ensure complete customer satisfaction.
You will lead contract negotiations and work closely with internal teams to ensure business objectives are met.

Responsibilities :
- Attend client meetings to understand their needs, offer tailored solutions, estimate or quote prices, credit terms, and delivery dates;
- Foster and develop relationships with key customer accounts, ensuring ongoing client service coordination and support;
- Conduct research on organizations and individuals to uncover new business opportunities and generate leads;
- Enhance the value of existing customers while simultaneously attracting and converting new clients through regular prospecting and sales activities;
- Identify and develop new market opportunities, and implement strategies to enhance sales performance;
- Prepare or oversee the preparation of service contracts and consult with customers post-sale to resolve issues and provide continuous support;
- Manage service agreements and price increase activities;
- Monitor and execute new business opportunities on various bid sites;
- Promptly provide internal employees with contact details to facilitate successful contract negotiations;
- Develop customized proposals in response to government RFPs and create tailored proposals for private sector businesses as needed;
- Respond to client inquiries promptly and professionally; provide accurate advice on the company's products and services;
- Mentor and develop other sales associates;
- Create, manage, and deliver detailed business development reports to track and improve sales, revenue, and market expansion efforts;
- Promote and contribute to a positive company culture at every opportunity;
- Other duties as required.
Requirements :
- Extensive experience in outside sales in commercial janitorial cleaning is required;
- Tech savvy with extensive experience using MS Office programs (Excel, Word, Outlook) and a CRM program required. Experience with ZoomInfo or PipeDrive is considered an asset;
- Proven ability to work independently and take ownership of responsibilities;
- Self-motivated, with a strong work ethic;
- Excellent networking and interpersonal relationship-building skills, with the ability to connect and build relationships with individuals inside and outside the organization;
- Ability to thrive in a high-volume, fast-paced work environment; Outstanding organizational skills, attention to detail, accuracy, and the ability to put together proposals and contracts accurately;
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills are essential to this role as well as the ability to successfully manage telephone and email inquiries;
- A drive to achieve sales targets and expand the company’s presence in the assigned sales territory;
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to attend client businesses throughout Vancouver and surrounding areas as required;
- This position may require occasional evening or weekend work.
This full-time position is based in Vancouver, BC, and offers an excellent total compensation package, including growth opportunities and a remote work environment.
We anticipate offering a base salary plus commission, with total annual compensation ranging from $60,000 to $150,000. Compensation is dependent on the performance of the individual and is primarily commission-based.
